DCU educational trust
Aims to obtain private sector support for the development of DCU, Ireland’s youngest university and one of the first to introduce co-op work placements as part of its degree requirements and have interdisciplinary academic programs. DCU’s teachning focus is in the areas of business, science and electronics, computer technology, communications and languages.

The university has developed a strong research profile, creating a number of national centres of excellence which combine academic disciplines such as biotechnology, electronic engineering, computer applications, physics and chemistry. Funding goes towards capital projects, student scholarships, research and academic enhancements.

“ With the help of generous Americans, through The AIF, the O’Reilly Library at Dublin City University is making a significant impact for our students, faculty and researchers. It has brought a world-class academic resource to Ireland’s youngest university.”
Michael T. Murphy, Deputy CEO
