Through your generosity, many families have been able to move into into their new Habitat homes in Downpatrick, Ballysillan and Ligoniel. In their own words, some of the families talk about their feelings on getting into their new Habitat homes.

2003

Now the Glencairn Estate is completed and homes 11 to 16 were dedicated at the Glencairn Celebration event June 2003.

This is a big 'thank you' from all the Glencairn families.

"The Glencairn project brought together more than 1,500 Catholic and Protestant volunteers to build homes for families in need and has provided a local community suffering from the effects of 30 years of violence with new horizons and opportunities. These 16 homes powerfully symbolize what can be achieved by Protestants and Catholics building trust and hope for a new future."
